The McGill Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences’ Annual Research Day is one of the Faculty’s main events, and it is the most important research-oriented event of the Faculty’s calendar. It is an opportunity for all members of the Faculty, McGill, and broader oral health research communities to come together and celebrate oral health research. Save the Date! The Canadian Oral Health Summit (COHS) , which will be held from June 20–22, 2024 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is a joint effort between  the Network for Canadian Oral Health Research (NCOHR) and the Association of Canadian Faculties of Dentistry (ACFD), the Canadian Association for Dental Research (CADR), and the Institute of Musculoskeletal Health and Arthritis (CIHR-IMHA). The event aims to promote interdisciplinary collaboration within the oral health community, and to consider future opportunities and challenges in oral health. The three-day program will include workshops, meetings, symposia, and networking sessions, with the ability to select your own program to suit your specific interests. CIHR Planning and Dissemination Grants – Institute/Initiative Community Support (Summer 2024 Competition)

The Planning and Dissemination Grants are intended to provide support for planning and/or dissemination activities (either virtual or in-person) consistent with the mandate of CIHR and relevant to CIHR Institutes and Initiatives. PxP 2024

PxP 2024 Conference (For Patients, By Patients): Virtual The 2024 PxP (For Patients, By Patients) conference, will be September 10-12 (for those in Europe, Africa or North and South America), or 11-13 (Asia and Oceania). Our purpose is to share resources, mentorship and community with patient partners and others involved in health research. Ultimately, our goal is partnering to make research stronger.

CIHR Project Grant: Fall 2024 Priority Announcement (Specific Research Areas)

The CIHR Project Grant Priority Announcements are intended to offer additional funding support for applications that are relevant to specific CIHR research areas. As part of the Priority Announcement, CIHR-IMHA will provide funding for applications relevant to our general mandate. The total funding available is $300,000, with a maximum of $100,000 per annum for up to one year awarded for a single grant. Summer School in Science Communication and Comics

The summer school aims to combine the art of comics and science communication to create innovative and engaging educational tools. Participants will have the opportunity to learn directly from experienced professionals in the fields of comics and scientific communication. • Open to students, researchers, educators, and science communication professionals • Strong interest in comics and science communication • Commitment to actively participate in both in-person and virtual activities • Submission of works in spring 2025 for exhibition at the RiSBOd Scientific Day and McGill University 2025, as well as the Quebec International Dental Days Deadline for applications: Sept 6 2024.
